Nepal Airlines, Touch’s New Customer in Asia

Nepal Airlines, based out of Kathmandu, is now flying 2 brand new Airbus A330 for their long-haul and regional operations.

The new aircraft, flying with a customized entertainment library developed by Touch and equipped with the top of the line IFE system RAVE from Zodiac, first took flight on August 1st 2018.

After being awarded a 5-year agreement for content provisioning services by Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC), Touch worked closely with NAC’s team to develop a content strategy tailored to the passenger demographics and the airline’s route network. NAC’s CEO Mr. Sugat Ratna Kansakar highlights “the two new A330 aircraft represent a very important landmark for Nepal and Nepali aviation. It is the introduction of a state of the art flying experience and we know the IFE is one of the key elements. We have found Touch as the right partner to bring in the best entertainment for our passengers.”

The initial content deployment options include 40 movies, with the most recent Hollywood Blockbusters and a large Asian selection including a special Nepali library, 30 TV programs and 20 music Albums.

The content offering to NAC’s passengers will have its customization further enhanced with Touch Analytics outputs after the first few months of operation.

“Our goal in curation is to continuously adapt and enhance the content options targeting each customer group in a way that we guarantee passenger satisfaction. We will do that for NAC by nurturing a symbiotic and very close relationship, breathing in the NAC and Nepal culture and making available our tangible quality perception analysis, where Touch Analytics plays a key role” says André Valera, Touch’s Director of business Development."
